Like sending your kid to cross the road...

Sending your book out for query to literary agents is like sending your kid to cross the road for the first time by themselves - will they be safe? Will others understand?
It became a bit of a joke these past 8 years, me talking about the 'book I'm not writing', and then suddenly it's done. Writing the book was difficult, but finishing it has been terrifying, and now I'm in that sea of doubt about whether it's actually any good.
I need to trust the process that got me here, and how it all began with a whisper into my heart - what would happen if the tree began to grow, the bird began to fly, the fish began to swim, and the bell began to ring? What would stop, what would begin? Listening to that wee whisper brought me here. Time to trust it again.
